Yes, absolutely. You can get a free pregnancy test by asking for one from your Welfare Officer, James O'Dowd. You can email them or send them a message on Instagram.

Your Welfare Officer is trained in active listening and confidentiality and is willing and able to listen to anyone who is having a problem. They hold weekly office hours or you can send a message to arrange a chat. There is no problem too big or too small.

That's completely understandable! Every house in Hall is assigned a Welfare Team member โ€” trained second years officially known as "Peer Supporters" โ€” who are here to support you. You can contact the one assigned to your house, or any one you'd feel comfortable with. There are also great support facilities available on campus through college staff. You can make a free GP appointment by ringing the College Health Services on +353 1 896 1591. Free drop-in appointments are also available Monday to Friday at 9:30am and 2pm โ€” these are often busy, so aim to queue at least 30 minutes early.

Contact TCD Counselling Services on 01 896 1497. Counselling is free, confidential, and non-judgemental โ€” have your student number ready. Drop-in appointments run at 1pm and 1:30pm term time at the Counselling Services on Nassau Street. Weekly counselling appointments are also available in Halls.

The College Health Services offer two clinics every Wednesday (9:30โ€“11:30am and 1:30โ€“3:30pm):

  • Sexual Health Clinic with Doctor & Nurse โ€” more detailed; suitable for those with symptoms or at higher risk.

Book via the Health Centre reception. A โ‚ฌ20 deposit is required.
